The best of the best: cafes around Australia

Over the years Nilla has been to her fair share of cafes. She chooses a cafe with exceptional coffee, in a quaint location and places that utilise their surrounding area for local produce.

Here’s her list for the best of the best:

Gramps cafe, Brisbane: Stop by this quirky eatery for brunch. The team at Gramps are full of smiles, their specialty coffee and vegan options make this a Brisbane spot not to be missed. Follow them @grampscafe.

Porch and Parlour, Bondi Beach: Beautifully prepared food that tastes incredible, friendly staff and a view. Their location is perfect, grab a coffee and head down for a dip on famous Bondi Beach. (tip: this place is seriously good, so expect to wait for a table). @porchandparlour.

The Kettle Black, Melbourne: From Albert St you will see a beautiful old Victorian house surrounded by modern architecture. They serve up mouthwatering and seasonal food. Their famous hot cake is delicious and topped with all the good stuff. Check them out @kettleblackcafe.

The Organic Market and Cafe, Adelaide: We love organic and this place knows their stuff with simple, delicious, home-style meals. Check out their wholefood store for lots of yummies. Be sure to head out to Stirling on your next Adelaide visit. @theorganicmarket_andcafe.

White Elephant Cafe, Margaret River: What a beautiful spot; a secluded cafe right on the water. You could sit here for hours. Loads of housemade cakes, old favourites and plenty of vege options. @whiteelephantcafe.

Pollen Makery, Hobart: We visited this tiny cafe a few years ago on a trip to Hobart and will never forget the view, delicious breakfast and vegan treats. The guys at Pollen are now trading as an online food store ONLY. Be sure to check out their range of condiments, cakes and cultures @pollenmakery.

If border restrictions are stopping you from exploring new areas, check these cafes out on the socials and start planning your next getaway (we know we are).
